Board of Trade, March 4, 1914. I AM directed by the Board of Trade to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 23rd February, relative to the inter-departmental committee which it is proposed to summon for the purpose of discussing the instructions to be given to the British delegates at the Opium Conference to be held at the Hague next May, and in reply I am to state, for Sir E. Grey's information, that they will be prepared to nominate a representative to serve on the committee in question.
